Fascinating, Entertaining, Educational and Inspiring.

This book isn't just a story of one label or one person, but its holds valuable lessons in both life in general and in the music scene. If you're into Hardcore or D&B or any EDM genre, this is well worth a read as it follows the path of one person negotiating the genre's and adapting to the styles quickly changing and becoming more defined. What I found fascinating was that Luna-C was able to describe and explain what went right and what went wrong when he reached the height of success, to the lows of bankruptcy. Very inspiring, well written and entertaining. 5 star's from me, and 100% recommended.

A fantastic time travel guided by a true insider of the scene...

...i loved it. And I was sceptic before. Would this guy really be able to write a book? Fill page per page with structured information and stories? I "knew" him much more for chaotic sounds, music that made my neighbours go berzerk, my pets trying to escape into the bright light at tunnels end and me fall in love with a music that still burns in my heart. This lunatic guy as author? But there is always two sides of the medal and of each person. Chris aka Luna-C really opened his heart and wrote a very interesting book that invites anyone out there to get back into the oldschool days (some say better days) and to accompany him on his freaky, funny but also sometimes disturbing and for sure depressing way into and out of the scene. From underground to the top riding the rollercoaster and sharing the headache all those rides caused lately.

Its witty, its honest and you notice it all came deep from the soul - waiting for years to be written down finally. And yes, this guy really has to tell a lot! I enjoyed that ride very much, remembering my trips from germany to the uk just for getting the newest records from my beloved breakbeat artists. I even had the chance meeting some of the record stores Chris talks about in his book, as collector all label names as well as artists who appear in the book sounded very familiar to me. It was great to get that "backstage insight" and see what happened behind the scenes.

Those years were such a musical breathrough and there were so many passionate fans out there, I really miss that sometimes. It was wonderful getting so much insights as Chris for sure was the man or guy - and centerpiece of the puzzle of that era. So it was great reading the book, listening to the tracks aside and checking some videos on youtube Chris mentioned. Of course also watching the old videos on youtube of smart e's was a delight when knowing more of the backgrounds. Dig those gloves buddy!!! I cried tears of laughter reading your lines concerning the wacky video performances you had to do. Still makes my day!

What I worship the most is that Chris, as everyone in the commerical music scene has not always been treated well, nevertheless there is not the slightest tone of bitterness in or between the lines. There were people stealing ideas or ripping of the band, but even the bad guys must not fear the book. Chris has a wonderful and very fair way to treat his surroundings of the past, no one will be blamed, in contrary Chris has an almost wise way of seeing things: The good as the bad things that happened finally had a right to happen as they were necessary for the "KNITEFORCE (R)EVOLUTION" as well as for the personal development.

My english may not be the best, nevertheless I read the book within hours in one sequence as I could not stop. I now feel even closer to the scene and besides there is always a bit sorrow about the past, the good thays that have gone - I am nevertheless very happy due to the fact this guy is still producing amazing tunes, doing fantastic mixes and podcasts. So the "party has not ened yet","the fire keeps on burning" and everything still should and will be played at high volume. Good news for me, bad news for my neighbours and pets, but well, get used to it! I wont change my musical altitude cause this is a big part of my life and love. 5 stars for an authentic, interesting and wonderful book. If you liked the era, you`ll love the story!

How Not To Squander Your Writing Ability

Having known Chris since early 2004, I have been well aware of the fact that he is articulate, funny, and extremely witty for some time. So when I had first heard about this project I had no doubts it would turn out great.

I am happy to say not only was I not wrong, but he exceeded all my expectations.

The book itself is extremely well written, making extremely good use of a very Douglas Adams-esque writing style. It's funny, witty, and reads much more like the words of a person speaking, which I find very enjoyable, especially for a biographical type of book.

The content itself is extremely informative, shedding light on years of electronic music history that unless you found someone who was actually around then and picked their brain, most people would never even hear about. But that's not all. Some of the intricacies (and foibles) of writing music during that time period are discussed, what it takes to start up a record label (hint: A LOT OF WORK), all manner of topics that electronic music fans will find infinitely interesting.

But this is not just a book for the EDM aficionado. Oh no. When I first received my copy, my mother (whose exposure to electronic music pretty much extends to what I've played when she's around and that's it) picked it up, read the first few pages, and then stole the book and wouldn't give it back until she was finished.

And loved every word of it. In fact, she's currently reading it again right now.

This is most certainly not just a book for fans of hardcore music, or electronic music in general. Anyone can pick it up and enjoy it. Just ask my mom. Shouldn't be too hard, there's a quote from her on the book. =)

About the Author

Carl L. Pritchard is the principal of Pritchard Management Associates and is a widely recognized risk management authority and lecturer. He was the lead chapter author for the risk management chapter of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK� Guide), Fourth Edition. Mr. Pritchard’s publications include courses in risk management, The Risk Management Memory Jogger (GOAL/QPC, 2012), as well as Project Management: Lessons from the Field (iUniverse, 2009), The Project Management Communications Toolkit, Second Edition (Artech House, 2012), How to Build a Work Breakdown Structure, and Precedence Diagramming: Successful Scheduling in the Team Environment. So much is written about managing risk and a lot of it remains theoretical rather than practical. I needed to connect the two and found this one of a few that were helpful. The best comes from Harvard Business School in my view however because risk is interactive and cumulative and that's a whole new ballgame.

Explanations in the individual chapters are usually long and very indirect, which adds more confusion than it actually helps in understanding the processes. The appendices can be useful.

Come Fiddle With Me

I play in a small fiddle group (4 fiddles and a guitar) and we are always looking for music with 2 parts. This is the best music book we have found. Each song is written with such pretty harmony and we play every song in the book. I sure wish there was a volume 2. There are 17 songs with a cd included. I highly recommend this book for twin fiddling.

This book was okay. I liked the music print was easy to follow, written big so no squinting to see what to do! A good book to practice playing duets with a friend. Beginners to Intermediate level at most.

Definitely Pertinent for Today's ND

This book is absolutely pertinent for today's Naturopathic Physician who is blending traditional Nature Cure with clinical medicine. I found it to be very helpful when developing clinical plans for patients in our student clinic. It is clear and thorough, and give a vast amount of peer reviewed research regarding each subject chapter.

This is More suitable for Traditional Naturopathic Dr. than Naturopathic Physicians

This is a good book easy to read, helpful for variety of disease. I haven't quite finished it but I was anxious to find the latest information on Iridology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, unfortunately they removed it, for other material. When mentioning how great the patients did with x herb they usually categorized them under their scientific name instead of the historical name they are known for...which is time consuming when you desire to find the Cause of the problem, instead of 'naming things'. I would put this on my shelf next to "the clinicians handbook of natural medicine 2nd edition" since it has similar flow but by a different N.D. Author.( if it was in Hardcover, I would pay the extra bucks, since this similar to a reference book, and listen reader a new book will be coming out that will be referencing this one... If your interested in knowing start investigating hehe
