Chironna is a gifted communicator, highly respected as a prophetic minister. He writes with an understanding and intellect that unlocks profound truths for the theologian with a spiritual sensitivity and Holy Spirit anointing that will appeal to readers at every level of maturity. The book is an equipping tool empowering the reader for ministry. Mark demonstrates an acute awareness of the roles of the gifts of the Apostle, prophet, and evangelist. His explanations, illustrations, definitions, and word pictures combine to challenge the reader to further study and research.

Perspective Changed!

I've read many books on the prophetic, but the seasoned insight and revelation in Prophetic Perspective truly gave me and new set of lenses. This is not a book for the trivial pursuer. This book is for the hungry hearted on fired up to change the world believer! I was stretched reading this book so many times. My mind felt like it was being expanded to a greater level of understanding the Spirit of Christ. If you want a personal upgrade then this book is for you!

I am still reading this book. It's a book of deep teaching, a book that challenges your mind, a book of encouragement, a book that inspires, a book of faith.

Dr. Mark Chironna, in my opinion is one of the best teachers, preachers, and yes, he flows heavily in the Prophetic Anointing. He has a very unique way of bringing forth a right now Word from God and in this book, he opens not only your eyes, but your heart, your mind, as well as your ears to hear what the Lord is saying.

You will NOT regret purchasing this book. It is not one that you will toss on the book shelf and forget you even have. I challenge you to open up and make yourself more available to what God has in store for you!!!

Tony's Best Kept Secret

Tony Parsons is one of the very few people today communicating this rare and uncompromising message of absolute nonduality, and he does so in a most eloquent, skillful, and at times humorous, fashion. Tony's words (both in print, as on his audio recordings) resonate with a poetic aliveness which resist any attempts of the dream individual to hold on to, leading the seeking mind to just give up. It is when this happens that another possibility can be seen, an awakening to Being. This is Tony's third published book, a collection of meeting dialogues from a variety of (mostly European) venues from 2001-2002. It does not appear to have been released in the U.S., and thus appears to have been missed out on by many here who enjoyed "As It Is" and "Invitation to Awakening." "All There Is" is a collection of timelessly fresh and radiant expressions which offer "a fragrance, the stillness and silence that is Home." The book is currently in print and available through the author's website (for which, simply do a web-search for the author's website, using the author's name and "The Open Secret").

Insightful but Incomplete

The essential idea - there is no 'you' or 'I', there is only 'this'. Or to put it another way, "this is all there is". If you understand this, then you do not need this book. If you do not, then this book will probably not help as it simply repeats this message over in different ways. Quite a conundrum isn't it? It also doesn't help resolve the various inconsistencies inherent in this teaching style, such as who wrote the book. Answer: no-one did. Or 'life' did. Again, while this is true, if you don't get it it really isn't that helpful. Various words are used such as 'appearance' or 'apparently' but the meaning of the words is not explained. This can lead to various interpretations and further confusion for the seeker.

My impression is that this kind of face-to-face teaching may be helpful for a very few who are 'ripe', but it doesn't work well as a book and there are much better alternative teachings that are less confusing.

About the Author
A botanist by training, Martin Page spent the early part of his career surveying hay meadows for the Nature Conservancy Council in England. He received his PhD from the University of Exeter and was a contributor to The National Vegetation Classification. He then spent several years working as a professional photographer, followed by a career in industry. Martin has been studying peonies for ten years and is the author of The Gardener's Guide to Growing Peonies. He was formerly the Deputy Editor of Water Gardening magazine and News Editor of the Royal Horticultural Society's journal The Garden. He is currently director of the American Peony Society.

Not applicable to my area

Building my library of citrus books and regret getting this one. I should have clued in that the author's experience is centered in the U.K. I live in Houston, TX. All of his citrus is containerised. All of his fertilizer recommendations are non-organic. Wished there were more pictures to identify varieties and also pests and diseases. The history part was okay. Wanted more technical detail.

An incredible book!

I always assumed that growing oranges, lemons, grapefruits, and their more exotic-sounding cousins like tangelos was only for people living in hot places like Florida, but this book explains how the rest of us can grow them too. As the book explains, the key is to take the plants indoors when it's frosty outside: for instance, citrus plants can go in a container on the porch during the cooler parts of spring and fall, and in wintertime they come all the way into the house where they make pretty and intriguing houseplants. When there's no danger of frost, they can go out in the garden. Overall I found this book to be highly useful, the advice was right on target while the photos inspired me to grow these plants I never would have considered before. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to grow something interesting and delicious.

Good basic info

Nothing in this book was really earth-shattering, I read it from cover to cover in an effort to understand my potted citrus trees a bit better. The writer is obviously very enthusiastic about the subject, seems to be writing much more from personal experience than book learning about the subject (which has its pluses and minuses). Good information on varietals. Found the pests and diseases section to be lacking - there is a pretty good list and description of many but fine points of identification and treatment are superficial at best.

Overall, I'd say this book is more fanciful than informative.

There is something wrong, either with the book or with myself

I like Guy's posts and I read them quite frequently. However, this book was a great disappointment. The main reason is that, at least in my opinion, it was really vague. Imagine that it has been almost two weeks since I bought it and when I got the reminder from Amazon to write a review I couldn't even remember what it was all about. Then I opened my kidle to try to remember why I didn't manage to finish it. Well, I can tell now what I didn't like. It was all about "enchantment" and how to inspire others, and how to project your passions and think great and dress well and say yes to everybody (!), tell nice stories, show up, self promote and lots of other fake PR tricks. Well, sorry for being strict but personally I don't think that all this image making is the key to success. Somebody has to work first and be distinguished for the quality of his intellectual and professional product. Just showing up and smile and saying nice stories is very superficial. The fact that such an "advice" attracts such goods reviews is, in my humble opinion, a sign of our times.

Seems to rely on other books too much

I felt like I was re-reading the other books that it openly references and seems to heavily rely upon. It didn't feel like it was introducing much new content or knowledge. It seemed to repeat and re-use the points that the other books made. I stopped reading it about half-way through because of this.

These notes became my personal guide to just being better at everything I do. This book is a must read for anyone that is in business and a have to read for anyone in the field of education. If teachers, school counselor's, administrators, etc worked harder to enchant their students we would definitely move up in our global rankings.

For Kathmandu lovers

Not only a large format book of gorgeous photography but the text is worthwhile as well. All who saw Kathmandu back in the day before it got over-commercialized will love this book. I did miss seeing a photograph of the towering evergreen- decorated "chariots" of Macchendranath.

It helped me to remember my later brother-in-law Martin Etter. It was a part of the world he lived in before he entered our lifes. The photos were amazing they showed a world greatly different then New England it great to open yourself up to these lifes and beliefs that are different.

I came upon this book in 2014, 32 years after I had lived in Kathmandu. These photos convey the grit, beauty, and madness of the place. It awakened memories I didn't know I had, memories that have kept me coming back to the Himalaya all of these years.
